Book-Cadillac Hotel (historic luxury hotel)

Designed by architect Louis Kamper and completed in 1924, the Book-Cadillac was one of Detroit's grand downtown hotels and a symbol of the city's early-20th-century prosperity. The building fell into decline and closed in the 1980s but underwent an extensive restoration and reopened as The Westin Book Cadillac in 2008. The restored hotel retains many of its original architectural details and is a designated historic landmark in Detroit.
