Stadtbad Gotha

The Gotha Public Baths, or Stadtbad Gotha, is a stunning example of Art Nouveau architecture, completed in 1909 and located near the historic center of Gotha. After closing in the 1980s due to deterioration, the baths underwent a significant restoration and modernization, reopening in 2014. The facility now features a blend of historical and contemporary design, including a main swimming hall, sauna, and various pools for both competition and leisure. The renovation, which took 23 years and cost around 19 million euros, has made the baths accessible to families and swimming clubs, while preserving its historical charm. Visitors can enjoy a unique experience that combines wellness, fitness, and architectural beauty in a landmark building that reflects Gotha's rich history.
