Soltan Mosque

The Soltan Mosque, located in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia, is a stunning example of Tatar-Bolghar medieval architecture blended with national romantic style. Built in 1868 through the generosity of merchant Cihanşa Ğosmanov, this mosque features a single hall with an entresol and a striking three-storied minaret above the entrance. After being closed by Soviet authorities in 1931, the mosque underwent restoration, with the minaret being restored in 1990 and the mosque returned to the community in 1994. It stands as a significant cultural and religious landmark in the region, reflecting the rich Islamic heritage of Tatarstan.
