Estes Park Band Shell

The Estes Park Band Shell, located in Iowa Falls, Iowa, is a historic venue built in 1931 through community efforts. Designed by local architect L.L. Klippel, this Mission/Spanish Revival structure features distinctive bell towers and a charming proscenium arch. With a cement basement for rehearsals and stucco walls topped by a tiled hip roof, the band shell has been a hub for concerts, dances, and political rallies, including a notable speech by Wendell Willkie during his 1940 presidential campaign. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993, making it a must-visit for history enthusiasts and tourists alike.
