Jaulakhel Durbar

Jaulakhel Durbar, also known as Jaulakhel Palace, is a historic Rana palace located in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, Nepal. Constructed in 1954 BS by Bir Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana, the palace has a rich history, having been damaged in the 1990 BS earthquake and later renovated. It was once home to a private zoo established by General Maheswar Shamshere Rana, which became Nepal's only national zoo. In 2007 BS, it was transformed into Club Rondeau by Yuvaraj Shumsher, who eventually sold the property to the government. Today, Jaulakhel Durbar houses a branch of the Office of Land Reform and Management, making it a site of historical significance and a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
