Edificio Patio Español, also known as La Filarmónica Building, is a historic mixed-use structure located in the vibrant Old San Juan district of Puerto Rico. Designed in the Spanish Mission Revival style by engineer Eduardo Fossas López and completed in 1937, this building was constructed to enhance the architectural landscape of the area, reflecting the rich Spanish Colonial heritage. It occupies the site of a former meeting house for the Sociedad La Filarmónica, a cultural club aimed at promoting the arts in San Juan. The building was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in Puerto Rican architecture and history.
