PSFS Building (Philadelphia Saving Fund Society Building)

The PSFS Building, designed by George Howe and William Lescaze and completed in 1932, is widely regarded as the first International Style skyscraper in the United States. It was originally constructed as the headquarters of the Philadelphia Saving Fund Society and featured a prominent rooftop neon PSFS sign that became a city landmark. The building's modernist design influenced American commercial architecture in the 20th century and it was later adapted as the Loews Philadelphia Hotel while retaining many original architectural features.
