Barton Street Arena

Barton Street Arena, also known as the Hamilton Forum, was a historic sports venue in Hamilton, Ontario, built in 1910. Originally seating 4,500, it hosted various hockey teams, including the NHL's Hamilton Tigers, and was notable for its excellent lighting and large ice surface. The arena was a key location for sports events, including the first game of the 1962 Memorial Cup. Despite its popularity, it was demolished in 1977 due to outdated facilities, paving the way for the larger Copps Coliseum. Today, the site is occupied by residential housing, but its legacy remains significant in Hamilton's sports history.
