Scottish Storytelling Centre

The Scottish Storytelling Centre, located on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, is the world's first purpose-built venue for live storytelling, officially opened in June 2006. Designed by Malcolm Fraser Architects, it replaced the former Netherbow Arts Centre and incorporates the historic John Knox House. The Centre hosts two annual festivals, the Scottish International Storytelling Festival and Edinburgh Tradfest, and serves as a vibrant venue during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2016, the Centre has been recognized for its contributions to the arts, including a nomination for Best Performing Arts Venue in 2017.
