Texas State Cemetery – burial site of notable Texas figures

The Texas State Cemetery is the official burial ground for many prominent Texans, including U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Jordan and Governor Ann Richards. The cemetery contains monuments and graves for governors, legislators, soldiers, and other notable figures in Texas history and is maintained by the State of Texas. It also includes the graves of 20th-century political leaders such as John Connally.
