USS Pampanito - WWII Submarine Museum Ship

USS Pampanito (SS-383) is a restored Balao-class World War II submarine preserved as a museum ship at Pier 45 in Fisherman's Wharf. The submarine served in the Pacific theater during WWII and is now open to the public as part of the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and associated nonprofit operations. The vessel's interior and exhibits interpret wartime submarine service and naval history.
