Ray C. De Yoe

Ray C. De Yoe was an American politician who served in the California State Assembly from 1929 to 1931, representing the 48th district. A notable figure in Monterey County, he was also the president of the Carmel Realty Company and owned the De Yoe Building in Carmel. Born in Michigan and later moving to California, De Yoe had a diverse career that included serving in the Spanish-American War and contributing to local legislation, such as the establishment of public airport districts. His political efforts included advocating for dairymen's compensation for cattle affected by tuberculosis. De Yoe passed away in Carmel in 1933, leaving a legacy tied to the region's development.
