Baine Building

The Baine Building, also known as Baine Studio Building, is a historic structure located at 6601 W. Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California. Built in 1926 by the architectural firm Gogerty & Weyl, this three-story building showcases the Spanish Colonial Revival style, featuring a red tiled roof, wrought iron grillwork, and an ornate corner tower. Originally housing the Merchants National Trust and Savings Bank on its first two floors, the building also includes a penthouse belonging to its owner, Harry M. Baine. In 1984, it was recognized as a contributing property in the Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Baine Building has influenced popular culture, inspiring the design of the Whitley Building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
