York Assembly Rooms

The York Assembly Rooms, a Grade I listed building in York, England, is an exquisite example of 18th-century Palladian architecture, designed by Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington. Originally a venue for high-class social gatherings, construction began in 1730 and was completed in 1735, with early use starting in 1732. The building has undergone several alterations, including a significant redesign after a fire in 1773 and a Greek Revival portico added in 1828. Now operated as an Ask Italian restaurant, the Assembly Rooms are open for public viewing, offering a glimpse into the city's rich architectural heritage.
