Istana Tyersall

Istana Tyersall was a historic palace located in Singapore, built in 1892 as the official residence of Sultan Abu Bakar of Johor. The palace, designed in the Corinthian architectural style, featured a striking red tiled roof and was notable for being the first building in Singapore to be supplied with electricity. It hosted numerous significant events, including receptions for dignitaries such as Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. Although demolished in 1935, the site remains a point of interest due to its rich history and connection to the Sultanate of Johor.
