Villa Hakasalmi

Villa Hakasalmi, located in the Etu-Töölö district of Helsinki, is a historically significant 19th-century villa designed by architect Ernst Lohrmann in the Empire style. Built between 1844 and 1846, it served as the summer residence of Senator Carl Johan Walleen. The villa is notable for its proximity to Finlandia Hall and the National Museum. In 1896, it was sold to the City of Helsinki and has been home to the Helsinki City Museum since 1912, making it a key destination for tourists and researchers interested in Finnish history and architecture.
