Cranenburg House

Cranenburg House, located on the Markt in Bruges, Belgium, is a historic building that once served as a favored residence for Mary of Burgundy and Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor. In the 15th century, it was a venue for tournaments and a site of significant historical events, including Maximilian's imprisonment in 1488. Today, the building functions as a café, featuring a historic façade designed by M. Vermeersch in 1956. Although it has lost much of its original grandeur, it remains a notable landmark for visitors interested in Bruges' rich history.
