Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park

Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park opened in 1996 to commemorate Tennessee’s bicentennial and is a 19-acre linear state park adjacent to the Tennessee State Capitol. The park contains interpretive exhibits about Tennessee history, a carillon that marks time, and a large granite map of the state used for orientation and education. It functions as a ceremonial and recreational civic space for downtown Nashville.
