Newseum (former site) - interactive news installations (closed)

The Newseum, at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, opened its modern, interactive museum focused on news and free expression in 2008 and operated galleries that included Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs, a section of the Berlin Wall, and interactive journalism exhibits. The museum closed its Pennsylvania Avenue location on December 31, 2019; many artifacts and collections were transferred or loaned to other institutions. During its operation the Newseum was notable for large-scale, media-focused installations and interactive galleries about the history of journalism.
