San Diego Museum of Art

The San Diego Museum of Art is the largest art museum in Balboa Park and is housed in a Spanish Colonial Revival building near the park's center. Its collection includes European old masters, Asian art, and American paintings, and the museum mounts rotating special exhibitions and public programs. The museum building was constructed for the park's early expositions and remains a principal cultural institution in downtown Balboa Park.
