Burnell Tavern

The Burnell Tavern, built in 1737, is the oldest building in West Baldwin, Maine, and a significant historic landmark. Located along the historic Pequawket Trail, it served as a tavern for travelers between Portland and central New Hampshire. The structure features a classic wood-frame design with a gable roof and has been preserved as a private residence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, highlighting its importance in local history.
