Diego Rivera's Detroit Industry Murals (commissioned by Edsel B. Ford)

Diego Rivera painted the Detroit Industry Murals at the Detroit Institute of Arts between 1932 and 1933. The 27-panel mural cycle was commissioned and funded by Edsel B. Ford and depicts workers, machinery, and industrial processes in Detroit, with references to the Ford Motor Company. The murals occupy the DIA's Rivera Court and are among Rivera's best-known works in the United States.
