El Cortez Hotel & Casino

El Cortez opened in 1941 and is one of the oldest continuously operating casino hotels in Las Vegas's downtown. Located on Fremont Street, the property is associated with the city's early casino era and retains an old-school downtown casino presence amid newer developments. It has undergone renovations over the decades while continuing to operate as a downtown gaming and lodging venue.
