Lady Evelyn Hotel

The Lady Evelyn Hotel, established in 1904 on Deer Island in Lake Temagami, Ontario, was the largest of three hotels operated by the Temagami Steamboat and Hotel Company. Known for its luxurious accommodations, it catered to high-class guests with rates ranging from $2.50 to $3.50 per day. The hotel was a hub for summer vacations, attracting visitors until it was tragically destroyed by a fire in 1912. Today, the site remains as a historical landmark, offering a glimpse into the region's rich hospitality heritage.
