Metronome / The Passage (Kristin Jones and Andrew Ginzel)

Metronome is a public art installation by Kristin Jones and Andrew Ginzel installed in 1999 on the south side of Union Square. The work includes a large sculptural face and a digital component known as The Passage that displays time-related numeric information and a continuously changing display across its facade. It functions as a site-specific combination of sculpture, clock, and conceptual public artwork integrated into the plaza's architecture.
