Morris Arboretum - estate of John and Lydia Morris

Morris Arboretum began as the estate and experimental gardens of John and Lydia Morris in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and preserves their horticultural collections and designed landscapes. The Morris family donated the property to the University of Pennsylvania, and it now operates as the university's official arboretum with living collections, a Victorian fernery, and historic gardens. The site interprets the Morrises' contributions to American horticulture and public education in plant sciences.
