JFK Memorial Plaza (cenotaph by Philip Johnson)

The JFK Memorial Plaza, designed by architect Philip Johnson and dedicated in 1970, is an open-air cenotaph honoring President John F. Kennedy and is located in downtown Dallas. The memorial consists of a square limestone enclosure intended as a place for public reflection and is distinct from the nearby Sixth Floor Museum and Dealey Plaza. It is a documented civic monument and frequently included in historical tours of the assassination sites.
