Seattle Aquarium on the Central Waterfront

The Seattle Aquarium, located on the central waterfront, opened in 1977 and focuses on the marine life and ecosystems of Puget Sound. Its exhibits include the Window on Washington Waters, interactive tidepool touch tanks, and marine mammal habitats for animals such as sea otters and seals. The institution also conducts marine animal rescue work and public education programs.
