Pavillon Bellevue

The Pavillon Bellevue, located in Meudon, France, originally served as a hotel for spa patients in the 19th century and has hosted notable figures like Édouard Manet. It transformed into a hotel-restaurant in 1881 and became a popular destination after the opening of the Bellevue funicular. In the early 20th century, it was associated with dancer Isadora Duncan, who used it as a dance school and later offered it as a military hospital during World War I. The building eventually became part of the CNRS in 1939 and has undergone various renovations and changes in ownership, with recent plans for redevelopment sparking local interest and opposition.
