Grove Plantation

Grove Plantation, located in Adams Run, South Carolina, is a historic plantation house with roots dating back to a land grant in 1694. It gained prominence in 1825 when George Washington Morris, a descendant of a Declaration of Independence signer, purchased and named it. The house features unique late-Federal-period architecture, including polygonal rooms. After a tumultuous history involving the Civil War and multiple ownership changes, it was preserved and is now part of the ACE Basin National Wildlife Refuge. The plantation is recognized for its historical significance and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
