Smithsonian National Meteorite Collection (National Museum of Natural History)

The Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History houses the National Meteorite Collection, a research collection of meteorite specimens curated by the museum. The collection includes classified lunar and Martian meteorites as well as numerous meteorite types used for scientific research and exhibitions. The museum curates, researches, and loans meteorite specimens and associated data to scientists and other institutions.
