Ford Piquette Avenue Plant (early automotive factory)

The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, constructed in 1904 in Detroit's Milwaukee Junction, is an early automobile factory where Henry Ford's company produced the Model N, R and S and developed the Model T prototype. The building's pragmatic brick-and-wood industrial architecture reflects early 20th-century factory design for assembly and light manufacturing. The plant now operates as the Model T Automotive Heritage Complex museum, interpreting early automotive manufacturing history on the original site.
