Union Station (Washington)

Washington Union Station opened in 1907 as a Beaux-Arts railroad terminal designed by Daniel Burnham's firm and serves as a major transportation hub for Amtrak, MARC, VRE, commuter buses, and the Washington Metro. The complex includes a large retail concourse, restaurants, and event spaces within its historic main hall. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to be both a transit facility and a public destination.
