Kubota Garden (Rainier Beach landmark)

Kubota Garden is a 20-acre Japanese-inspired public garden established by Fujitaro Kubota in the 1920s and opened to the public in the 1980s. The garden combines Japanese garden design with Northwest plants and features ponds, waterfalls, and winding paths that attract local visitors and gardeners. It is operated by the City of Seattle in partnership with the Kubota Garden Foundation and is a well-known cultural and horticultural icon in the Rainier Beach neighborhood.
