Folger Shakespeare Library - world's largest Shakespeare collection

The Folger Shakespeare Library on Capitol Hill houses the world's largest collection of Shakespeare-related materials and one of the largest collections of early modern English books and manuscripts. Its holdings include dozens of Shakespeare First Folios (over 80 copies in recent counts), extensive manuscripts, prints, and reference materials used by scholars worldwide. The Folger combines its research collections with public programs, exhibitions, and a working theater.
