Texas Technological College Dairy Barn

The Texas Technological College Dairy Barn, located on the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock, Texas, is a historic building constructed between 1926 and 1927. Designed by architect W. C. Hedrick, it served as a teaching facility for 40 years, where students brought their own cows and marketed milk products. The barn was a hub for the Student Dairy Association and sold milk and ice cream to local residents. After the dairy operations moved in 1967, the barn was abandoned but later preserved through student fundraising efforts and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. A significant restoration project was completed in 2020, enhancing its status as a symbol of Texas Tech's agricultural heritage.
