Temple Beth Israel of Highland Park and Eagle Rock

Temple Beth Israel of Highland Park and Eagle Rock is a historic Conservative Jewish congregation located in Highland Park, Los Angeles. Established in 1923, it features a beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival style building completed in 1930, making it the oldest synagogue in Los Angeles still operating at its original site. In a notable development, Rabbi Alex Weisz became the Senior Rabbi in July 2023, marking a generational shift as he is the first Gen Z rabbi to lead an American synagogue.
