Timber School

Timber School, established in 1889, is the first school in Newbury Park, California, and the oldest remaining public building in the Conejo Valley. The current structure, built in 1924 in Mission Revival style by architect Roy C. Wilson, stands as a historical landmark. Originally serving local farm children, it has a rich history of community use, including church services and celebrations. The site is undergoing redevelopment plans for a luxury multifamily community, while a replica of the original schoolhouse can be found nearby at the Stagecoach Inn Museum.
