Brown-Sewell House

The Brown-Sewell House, a historic Greek Revival-style home built in 1859 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, is notable for its architectural features such as a moderately pitched roof, corner pilasters, and a distinctive entablature. Originally constructed for Lyman Brown, the house was sold to Reverend Robert Sewell and his wife Elizabeth just five years later. The Sewells played a significant role in the local community, with Rev. Sewell serving as the minister of the First Congregational Church. The house has been preserved as a historic site and was added to the State and National Register of Historic Places in 2003, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
