Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge Warden's Residence

The Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge Warden's Residence, located in Triana, Alabama, is a historic house built in 1941 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Initially serving as the residence for the warden of the nearby wildlife refuge until 1947, it later became a local clinic for African Americans, operating until 1990. Now the focal point of a 25-acre park, the residence is recognized for its historical significance, listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 2001 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
