Graceland (Elvis Presley Mansion)

Graceland was purchased by Elvis Presley in 1957 and served as his primary residence for the rest of his life; Elvis Presley died at the mansion on August 16, 1977. The estate was opened for public tours in 1982 and continues to operate as a museum dedicated to his life and career. Graceland was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2006 in recognition of its association with Presley and its cultural significance.
