Union Station (Near Capitol Hill)
By Seeker
Union Station opened in 1907 and was designed by architect Daniel H. Burnham; it functions as a major rail hub and historic Beaux-Arts landmark in Washington, D.C. The facility combines Amtrak, commuter rail services, and a large retail concourse with dining and events. It has undergone multiple restorations while remaining a central transportation and commercial node for the city.
