Quaid-e-Azam Residency

Quaid-e-Azam Residency, located in Ziarat, Balochistan, Pakistan, is a historic wooden structure built in 1892, originally designed as a sanatorium. It served as the summer residence of the agent of the Governor General and is most notable for being the place where Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, spent his final month. The site is recognized as a heritage landmark and has undergone significant rehabilitation after suffering damage from an earthquake in 2008 and a militant attack in 2013. Open to visitors since its restoration in 2014, the Residency is also featured on the 100-rupee note, making it a symbol of national pride and architectural significance.
