Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs - site near Ice Age fossil discoveries

Floyd Lamb Park sits within the greater Tule Springs area where Pleistocene (Ice Age) vertebrate fossils, including mammoth bones and other megafauna, were recovered during 20th-century excavations. Portions of the documented Tule Springs fossil localities lie within or adjacent to the park, and the park preserves springs that sustained the Pleistocene ecosystem.
