Pewabic Pottery

Pewabic Pottery was founded in 1903 by Mary Chase Perry Stratton and Horace J. Caulkins and operates as a pottery studio, gallery, and school. It is renowned for its distinctive iridescent glazes used on architectural tiles and artworks throughout Detroit and elsewhere. The Pewabic facility on East Jefferson Avenue includes a retail gallery, workshop space, and hosts exhibitions and educational programs.
