Sam Houston Park - site preserving early Houston structures

Sam Houston Park contains a collection of 19th-century buildings relocated to preserve examples of early Houston architecture. The park includes the Kellum-Noble House, constructed in 1847 and recognized as Houston's oldest surviving brick house. The Heritage Society operates the park to interpret early city lots and structures within the footprint of Houston's original 1836 townsite. The park hosts documented historic structures that reflect surveying and lot patterns from the city's early decades.
