Maison de la paix

The Maison de la paix, or House of Peace, is a striking building in Geneva, Switzerland, designed by Eric Ott. It serves as the headquarters for the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and is part of the Campus de la paix. The building features a unique petal design, maximizing natural light and energy efficiency, making it one of the greenest buildings in the region. Inaugurated in 2013, it houses classrooms, faculty offices, and the Davis Library, which contains 350,000 volumes on international studies. Additionally, it hosts three key Geneva Centres focused on security policy, humanitarian demining, and democratic control of armed forces, making it a vital hub for research and international cooperation.
