Macready Theatre

The Macready Theatre, located in Rugby, Warwickshire, is a professional venue housed in a historic Victorian building dating back to 1885. Originally built as classrooms for Rugby School, it was transformed into a theatre in 1975 and named after notable alumnus William Charles Macready. Opened to the public in December 2018, the theatre features 250 seats and is equipped with facilities for disabled access, including a lift. Notably, it aims to support local education by offering one third of its tickets for free to school groups, addressing the decline in arts education.
