Tianyi Ge

Tianyi Ge, also known as Tianyi Pavilion, is a historic library and garden located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. Established in 1561 by Fan Qin, a passionate scholar and official, it originally housed over 70,000 volumes of valuable texts. Despite suffering losses due to wars and theft, the collection has been restored to around 30,000 volumes, including rare Ming dynasty works. The pavilion features traditional Jiangnan architectural styles and is surrounded by beautifully designed gardens. Recognized as a National Heritage Site, Tianyi Ge also serves as a center for ancient book restoration, training personnel in preservation techniques. It offers a glimpse into China's literary history and cultural heritage, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
