Level Loop

Level Loop is a historic home and farm located near Brownsburg in Rockbridge County, Virginia, built around 1819. This two-story, five-bay Federal-style dwelling features a side-gable roof, exterior end chimneys, and a moulded brick cornice. The property also includes a stone chimney from an early outdoor kitchen and a bank barn and granary from the early 20th century. Notably, it was constructed for William Houston, a relative of the famous Texas pioneer Sam Houston. Level Loop was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
